The sequel to "Gabriel's Lament". It features the story of Dr Esther Potocki, a venerologist at a London hospital. She describes her curious friendship with the enigmatic Stephen, who she eventually introduces to her lover, Gabriel Harvey.
Esther Potocki works with human genitals - she is a venereologist at a large London hospital. After the death of one of her patients, his friend - young Stephen, known as Sugar Cane - becomes her friend, and starts to tell her the extraordinary story of his life.
