Margarita Garcia Robayo
Margarita Garcia Robayo was born in Cartagena in Colombia in 1980. She is the author of three novels, a book of autobiographical essays and several collections of short stories, including Worse Things (Cosas peores) which won the prestigious Casa de las Americas Prize in 2014. She is widely published in South America and Spain and in 2018, Charco Press published Fish Soup, a compilation of three of her books which was included in the Times newspaper’s Books of the Year. In 2020, a compilation of her three novels will be published in Spanish, one of which will be published in English under the title Holiday Heart (Tiempo Muerto) in a translation by Charlotte Coombe. She has been translated into seven languages.
She lives in Buenos Aires.
