Margarita GarcĂa Robayo was born in Cartagena, Colombia in 1980. She is the author of three novels, a book of autobiographical essays and several collections of short stories, including WORSE THINGS (Cosas peores) which won the prestigious Casa de las Americas Prize in 2014. She is widely published in South America and Spain and in 2018, Charco Press published FISH SOUP, a compilation of three of her books which was included in the Times Books of the Year. She has been translated into seven languages.
She lives in Buenos Aires.
