Daniella Sánchez Russo is a Colombian writer an academic. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from New York University and a PhD in Hispanic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. Published by TusQuets Colombia, her debut novel, Vigilia, has received national attention for its use of a neobaroque aesthetics that reflects on social conflict from within the domestic space of Colombian Caribbean households. She is currently working on her second novel, Ni siquiera la luz; and her first academic article in domestic service and the Latin American novel is soon to be published in the journal Feminist Theory.
