Belinda McKeon was born in 1979 and grew up on a farm in the Irish midlands. She studied English and Philosophy at Trinity College, Dublin and at University College, Dublin, and has just completed an MFA in fiction at Columbia University. She is an arts writer with the Irish Times and is also a playwright, currently under commission to the Abbey Theatre, Dublin. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
