Heidi Stephens is an exciting new contemporary fiction author. Her stunning debut novel, Two Metres From You (Headline) - a story about romance, village life, and mandatory dog exercise - won the 2022 Katie Fforde Debut Romantic Novel Award.

Heidi's sixth book Snowed in With You (Headline, October 2024) is the moving, joyful and life-affirming new novel about love, life, hope, family and the importance of taking chances. A work trip to the snow capped Swiss Alps takes an unwelcome turn for Lucy when she finds herself trapped in their lodge by a snowstorm with an eclectic group of colleagues including the moody Nate. But with roaring log fires and steaming mugs of glühwein (and maybe a shot or two of Jägermeister), it's a chance for Lucy and Nate to discover there might be more to one another than meets the eye.

Heidi writes The Guardian’s wildly successful Strictly liveblog and regularly appears on Breakfast TV to talk about Strictly. Lockdown gave her the opportunity to fulfil her lifetime ambition of writing a novel. In her career she has worked as a freelance journalist and in advertising and marketing; some of her early writing work includes instruction manuals for vacuum cleaners, saucepans and sex toys. She lives in Wiltshire with her partner and their Labrador, Mabel.
