William Feaver, is a former art critic of the Observer, and has written a number of books, and organised many exhibitions, among them, 'Thirties' in 1979, for the Arts Council and the V&A Museum. Rizzoli published his Lucian Freud in 2002, followed by Pitment Painters (the Ashington Group, 2008) and Frank Auerbach (Rizzoli, 2009). His latest work The Lives of Lucian Freud: YOUTH, was published by Bloomsbury in September 2019.
