Carolin Duttlinger is Professor of German Literature and Culture at the University of Oxford, where she also co-directs the Oxford Kafka Research Centre. She’s published widely on topics ranging from modernism to photography, from cultural memory to the history of psychology. She enjoys writing for both academic and non-academic audiences and has spoken about German culture on radio and television, in the UK and abroad. Her books include Kafka and Photography (2007), The Cambridge Introduction to Franz Kafka (2013) and Attention and Distraction in Modern German Literature, Thought, and Culture (2022).
