Clare Bucknell was born in 1989 and grew up in Wiltshire. She is a Fellow of All Souls College, Oxford and holds a DPhil in English Literature. Her reviews and features have appeared in the London Review of Books, the New Yorker, the New York Review of Books, WSJ Magazine and Apollo. She is the co-editor of Byron Among the English Poets, published by Cambridge University Press in 2021. Her debut non-fiction book, The Treasuries, is forthcoming from Head of Zeus. She lives and works in London.
