Nic Aubury

Nic Aubury’s poetry has appeared in a number of anthologies, including ‘The Poetry of Sex’ (Penguin) and ‘New Poetries VI’ (Carcanet). His poem ‘Decline & Fall’ was chosen as Carol Rumens' Poem of the Week in the Guardian, and his poem ‘The Couple Upstairs’ featured on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Woman’s Hour’. He has performed at various festivals, including Latitude, Ledbury, and the Cheltenham Poetry Festival. His first pamphlet, ‘Small Talk’ (Nasty Little Press, 2011), was chosen by Sophie Hannah as one of her books of the year. His short collection, ‘Cold Soup’, was published by Nasty Little Press in 2016, and his first full collection, ‘Ignore It All & Hope It Goes Away’, was published by David Fickling Books in 2022. He currently writes a weekly, four-line poem for the New European, and is a regular contributor on the ‘How To Hold A Grudge’ podcast.
