Lennart Wolfert

Lennart Wolfert is an illustrator, author and graphic designer from The Netherlands. He likes to write books that'll make you giggle. Books that are a bit weird but nice. His illustration style is graphic and colourful with roots in printmaking. You could say he's more of a shape maker than an illustrator. Stories, words and jokes have always been of great interest to him. Sculpting those stories into colourful and whimsical little books makes him very happy.

His background is in graphic design and printmaking. He started working as a freelance designer and illustrator in 2008. Making all kinds of posters and logos. Later on he worked his way into book cover design. Mostly young adult stuff. Along the way he did some teaching and designed and produced a lawngame called Knapsack. His main focus now is on writing and illustrating books...and playing banjo ;)
