Karen Walk is an author, illustrator and designer. She grew up in the wild Aberdeenshire countryside, where she spent a free-range childhood writing, doodling and daydreaming. Attempts at selling homemade comics to her family didn’t go particularly well, so when Karen grew up, she studied graphic design at Falmouth University to improve her chances. She later completed an MA in Writing for Young People with distinction.
When she’s not writing, Karen works as a school circulation librarian, where she spends more time reading the books than cataloguing them. She is also a freelance graphic designer. Karen lives near Bath with her husband, teenage twins, and the world’s unruliest (but cutest) dog.
