Dan Stone
Dan Stone is Professor of Modern History and Director of the Holocaust Research Institute at Royal Holloway, University of London. He is the author of numerous articles and books on the Holocaust, genocide, and modern European history, including: Histories of the Holocaust (2010), Goodbye to All That? The Story of Europe since 1945 (2014), The Liberation of the Camps: The End of the Holocaust and its Aftermath (2015), Concentration Camps: A Very Short Introduction (2019), The Holocaust: An Unfinished History (2023), and Fate Unknown: Tracing the Missing after World War II and the Holocaust (2023). Dan chaired the academic advisory board for the Imperial War Museum’s redesigned Holocaust Galleries (opened October 2021) and is a member of the Advisory Group on Spoliation Matters.
