Giulia Macri

Giulia is a translator of Korean literature into Italian and English. Born in Milan, she is an LTI Korea Translation Academy and BCLT Summer School alumna and was awarded the Commendation Prize in Fiction at the 53rd The Korea Times’ Translation Awards. In Italian, she has translated The Midnight Shift, The Rainfall Market, I’ll Find You on a Beautiful Day, The Mysterious Oriental Medicine Clinic and other upcoming titles. She actively collaborates with Korean Literature Now translating essays and short stories. She lives on the outskirts of Seoul with her husband and their hyperactive turtle, Moka—who spends most of her time redecorating her tank. Giulia is Italian but only drinks decaf, loves taking long walks in the park, and is very much a dog person.
