Elizabeth Elgin, Estate of

Elizabeth Elgin served in the WRNS during the Second World War. She met her husband on board a submarine depot ship. She wrote many successful novels including All The Sweet Promises a wonderful multi-stranded novel based on her experiences in the war.

A keen gardener, she had two daughters, five grandsons and a great-granddaughter. She lived in a village in the Vale of York until her death in 2005.
