The Explorer wins FCBG Children’s Book Award
We are delighted that The Explorer by Katherine Rundell has won the 2018 Federation of Children's Book Groups' Award in the 'Books for Younger Readers' category.
The awards were formerly known as the Red House Book Awards, and are the only national award voted for solely by children. The Explorer is a modern classic of adventure, survival and friendship based around Fred, who finds himself having to try and survive when his tiny airplane crashes in the middle of the Amazon jungle.
