ANN TUSA read history at Cambridge. She began her career at Penguin Books before having and bringing up two sons. After some years teaching history at a north London comprehensive and a college of furhter education, she started work on The Nuremberg Trial, with her husband John Tusa. The Nuremberg Trial (first published 1983, revised edition 1995) is regarded as the standard work on the subject. In 1988 the Tusas continued their study of key events in post-war European history with The Berlin Blockade and Ann has just completed the trilogy with The Berlin Wall, an examination of the international and European crisis surrounding the building of the wall in 1961. It will be published by Hodder in 1996.
