Steve Toltz
Steve Toltz is an Australian novelist, his first novel, A Fraction of the Whole was published in 2008. It was shortlisted for the Man Booker Prize and the Guardian First Book Award, was Winner of the New South Wales Premier’s People’s Choice Award and the Sydney Morning Herald’s Best Young Australian Novelists, shortlisted for the UK’s Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction, the Ned Kelly Awards, the Australian Book Industry Awards (Literary fiction Book of the Year, and Newcomer of the Year), and longlisted for the Dublin IMPAC Award and the Miles Franklin Award. His second novel Quicksand was Winner of the 2017 Russell Prize for Humour Writing and was Shortlisted for 2016 Prime Minister’s Literary Awards. His third novel, Here Goes Nothing, was published in May of 2022, and was shortlisted for the 2022 Aurealis Awards, the 2022 Nib Awards and longlisted for the 2023 Russell Prize for Humour Writing. Steve is based in Sydney, Australia.
