Sara Stridsberg

Sara Stridsberg is an internationally acclaimed writer and playwright whose work has been translated into more than twenty-five languages. A former member of the Swedish Academy, she is a leading feminist and artist in her native Sweden and around the world. Her novel Faculty of Dreams received the Nordic Council Literature Prize in 2007 and was longlisted for the Man Booker International Prize in 2019. Her novels Beckomberga/The Gravity of Love, Darling River and Antarctica of Love have consolidated her position as one of Europe’s foremost storytellers. Her plays have been widely performed in Sweden as well as internationally. She has been awarded the European Union Prize for Literature, the Dobloug Prize, De Nios Winter Prize, the Selma Lagerlöf Prize and has been nominated for the August Prize five times. Her collection of short stories, Hunter in Huskvarna, will be published in the UK in late 2023/early 2024.
