Francesca Segal

Francesca's first novel, The Innocents, won the 2012 Costa First Novel Award, the 2013 National Jewish Book Award, the 2013 Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature, the Edoardo Kihlgren Opera Prima Award 2013 in Milan, a 2013 Betty Trask Award, and was long-listed for the 2013 Women's Prize for Fiction. Her novel The Awkward Age was published in  2017 and her non-fiction work, Mother Ship, was published in 2019. She has written for Granta, the Guardian, the Financial Times, and American and British Vogue. For three years she wrote the Observer's Debut Fiction column, and has been a staff writer at Tatler.
