Eleanor O’Reilly teaches English and Classical Studies at The Community School in Gorey, Co. Wexford.
She began writing one morning, over a bowl of porridge, while on maternity leave. Since then she has won the Bonnier Twenty7 Open Submissions Award 2016; The RTE Francis McManus Radio Short Story Award 2015; The Writing 4 Autism Award 2014; The William Trevor/Elizabeth Bowen International Short Story Award 2013.
Her debut novel, M for Mammy, will be published by Two Roads in 2019.
She lives in Arklow, a small town on the East Coast of Ireland located between the Irish sea and the Wicklow hills, with her husband Brian and daughter Ella.
