Richard Lloyd Parry
Richard Lloyd Parry, a British foreign correspondent, was born in Lancashire in 1969 and was educated at the University of Oxford. He is the Asia Editor of The Times of London, based in Tokyo, and is the author of the non-fiction books In the Time of Madness and People Who Eat Darkness: The Fate of Lucie Blackman with Jonathan Cape in the UK and FSG in the US. His latest book, Ghosts of the Tsunami, exploring the impact of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami of 2011 on a local school in North-East Japan, was published in 2017.
He is currently living in Japan.
