“A funny, sparkly, and joyful celebration of drag! Boy Queen celebrates the power of community and shows how finding your people can help you find yourself. I loved it!” – Alice Oseman, author of Heartstopper

“Lester’s sharp, witty debut tells the story of Robin Cooper, who escapes a life that is falling apart when he discovers the world of drag.” - i paper

Robin Cooper’s life is falling apart. While his friends prepare to head off to University, Robin is looking a pile of rejection letters from drama schools up and down the country, and facing a future without the people he loves the most. Everything seems like it’s ending, and Robin is scrabbling to find his feet. Then one night everything changes at Entity, a local queer bar, and he might have just found his new beginning. After a failed performance at an open mic, Robin is pulled wig first into a world of big hair, high heels and even higher stakes. But with boy trouble and family drama on the horizon, lip synching for your mother-tucking life might not be enough.
