David Cooper, Estate of
South African psychiatrist Dr. David Cooper lived from 1931 to 1986. He was a noted theorist and leader in the anti-psychiatry movement. He was a founding member of the Philadelphia Association and was director of the Institute of Phenomenological Studies. His major essays include: Reason and Violence: a decade of Sartre's philosophy, Psychiatry and Anti-Psychiatry,The Dialectics of Liberation, The Death of the Family, Grammar of Living and The Language of Madness.
