Emma Paterson

Emma Paterson joined Rogers, Coleridge & White in 2013 after working at The Wylie Agency. She has a BA in English Literature and an MA in Gender Studies and Critical Theory, and is currently the Treasurer of the Association of Authors’ Agents.

She is looking for voice-driven literary fiction with a strong sense of place, and is particularly drawn to the formally ambitious, the radical, the darkly comic and the suspenseful. She also represents a small number of poets.

In non-fiction, Emma’s tastes are broad: she is looking for skilled storytelling, deep research and critical rigour, and has a strong interest in cultural history and social justice, but she is equally stimulated by beauty and lifestyle projects.
