Eleanor Birne
Literary Agent
Eleanor Birne joined RCW in 2024 having previously worked as an agent with PEW Literary. Prior to that she was publishing director at John Murray and before that was editorial director at Duckworth. She is actively building a list of new authors at the agency and is looking for writers from all backgrounds and regions who have a unique story to tell – whether in fiction or non-fiction.
Her writers have been awarded or shortlisted for major prizes including the Nero Book Award for Debut Fiction, British Book Award Book of the Year: Debut Fiction, The McKitterick Prize, A N Post Irish Book Award: Novel of the Year, Waterstones Irish Book of the Year, the Women's Prize for Fiction, The Rooney Prize, Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year, and Waterstones Debut Fiction Prize.
