Our Foreign Rights team is headed by Laurence Laluyaux and Stephen Edwards, who sell translation rights in over 35 territories on behalf of all the agents at Rogers, Coleridge & White Ltd.

 

 

Laurence Laluyaux was born in Paris. She studied French literature and taught French in Memphis, Tennessee before moving to England where she took an MA in Comparative Literature at University College London. She worked as a translator and joined Rogers Coleridge and White ten years ago, becoming a director in 2001. Her own clients include Ben Faccini,  Chico Buarque, Bernardo Carvalho, Milton Hatoum, Valeria Luiselli and valter hugo mae, amongst others. Stephen Edwards joined Rogers, Coleridge & White Ltd in 1995 and became a director in 2003.He went to the University of East Anglia where he read for a BA in History of Art and then to the Courtauld Institute (University of London) for his MA.He is married and lives in London.  His assistant is Zoe Nelson: zoen@rcwlitagency.com
 
Margaret Halton joined RCW in 2009 after a varied career in publishing on both sides of the Atlantic. She has worked in Foreign rights for many years; at one time running the Foreign Rights Department at ICM.She also works as a co-agent in the UK on behalf of US agencies and her own clients include H M Naqvi, winner of the DSC Prize for South Asian Literature and Ann Weisgarber, winner of an Orange Award for New Writers. Laurence works direct with foreign publishers on the sale of translation rights in Catalan, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Icelandic, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish territories.


Margaret works direct with foreign publishers on the sales of translation rights on behalf of Melanie Jackson, Anne McDermid, Peter Robinson and Sam Copeland in Catalan, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, Icelandic, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish territories.
