Catherine Merridale, Caitlin Moran and David Runciman Longlisted for the Orwell Prize

Catherine Merridale, Caitlin Moran and David Runicman have each been longlisted for the 2014 Orwell Prize for political writing. Catherine Merridale‘s RED FORTRESS: THE SECRET HEAR OF RUSSIA’S HISTORY and David Runicman‘s THE CONFIDENCE TRAP appear on the longlist for Books, while Caitlin Moran appears on the longlist for her journalism. The shortlist will be announced in a few weeks at a shortlist debate.

Heston Blumenthal and Fuchsia Dunlop are shortlisted for the James Beard Awards 2014

We are delighted to announce that two RCW authors have made the shortlists for the 2014 James Beard Awards.

Heston Blumenthal‘s HISTORIC HESTON has been shortlisted for the “Cooking from a Professional Point of View” award and Fuchsia Dunlop has been shortlisted for the “International” award for EVERY GRAIN OF RICE: SIMPLE CHINESE HOME COOKING and for the “Personal Essay Award” for her essay “Dick Soup”.
