Hera Lindsay Bird

Hera Lindsay Bird is a poet from Wellington. She has an MA in poetry from the International Institute of Modern Letters where she won the 2011 Adam Prize for best folio. Her debut, self titled book of poetry Hera Lindsay Bird was published by Victoria University Press in Australia and Penguin UK.  She won the Jessie McKay Best First Book Award in 2017, The Sarah Broom Poetry Prize in 2017 and was an Arts Foundation New Generation Laureate in 2017. She has performed with musicians such as Nadia Reid and Aldous Harding. Her latest collection, Pamper Me to Hell and Back was Laureate Choice. She likes murder mysteries, watching figure skating and pissing in the shower.
