Sam Copeland grew up in
Manchester, and his first job was running a market stall with his brother. His first job in publishing was at Curtis Brown, where he started in 2001. He left in 2006 to help create the Robinson Literary Agency, and joined
Rogers, Coleridge and White in 2009 when the two companies merged. He is building an extremely diverse list, representing writers of both literary and commercial fiction, science fiction, children’s (11+), serious and not-so-serious non-fiction. In fact, he is happy to look at anything but rose-tinted romance. He represents writers such as John Harding, author of ONE BIG DAMN PUZZLER (Transworld) and the forthcoming FLORENCE AND GILES (Blue Door, Harper Collins), Tom Becker, author of the award-winning DARKSIDE series and the forthcoming THE TRAITORS (Scholastic) and Jason Donald, author of CHOKE CHAIN (
Jonathan
Cape).
